Enemies in the staging area cannot be damaged. While Sarn Ford is in the staging area, enemies do not make engagement checks. The players cannot travel to Sarn Ford while there are time tokens on it.

While Sarn Ford is in play, every quest card in play gains Battle, players skip the staging step each round, and each character gets -2 (-1 if Sarn Ford is the active location).
